Its amazing how fast time can pass by. A week ago Picker, Red Man, Snowman and I were walking the final miles to the Birches. Tomorrow marks my one weekiversary of finishing the AT. And, what a fun week its been.

Ive worn cotton clothes and deoterant for a week. I still feel weird not having everything I own packed away in ziplock bags. The dark cloudy skies today still haunt me eventhough I know I dont have to hike out into a storm.

But, I miss not having my hiking friends the most. Eventhough Im not alone, sometimes I feel alone. For months I stumbled around the woods and now Im stumbling around this concrete jungle. Sigh.

The past week has been a blast though. Spent two days with Picker, Red Man, Papa Picker, my buddy Ryan and Pickers Uncle Herby and Aunt Bets in Lubec Maine. The eastern most point in the US. Good times, great food, and a perfect way to end our journey. Saying goodbye to Picker and Red Man was difficult but I know I will see them again soon.

After Lubec, Ryan and I spent a day and night in Acadia, then Boothbay, and then Hampton Beach. Slowly working our way back to PA. Tonight we plan to stop by and see my AT and PCT hiking friends Puff and Snappy in Conn.

Should be back to Philly by Monday for wings at Hogans. Cant wait to get a beard full of sticky wing sauce….mmmmmmmm.

Then the job search will begin…gulp….

Stay tuned ……

Flo, have followed you through your journey. I will miss reading the daily post and will miss your descriptive humor most of all. I am saddened that Wild Man & General Lee did not finish the journey with you guys. I only hope one day they will finish & if not, have no regrets about it. Thank you for all the laughs. I will keep my fingers crossed on your finding a job.
